there is drool all over my keyboard

I know he's made the rounds but I'm about to really overwhelm you with some amazing photos from stylist Joe Maer:

he achieves what so many stylists and designers don't: the spaces look livable and more importantly, they look lived in. and I love that nothing is really perfect...it's all exactly my style, an ideal smattering of everything. I mean, just run down those photos, you can find something amazing in each one. he can do soft and romantic, he can do cheeky, he can do masculine, and even when a space looks unfinished, it comes across in that way where you suddenly want to redo everything you've just perfectly arranged. ya know?

which photo is your favorite? I'm torn between the kitchen with the black wall & marble counter, the Pucci bedskirt (I die), the zebra hide dining room w/plants, and the surfboard in the entryway. I kinda hope the surfboard photo is a crystal ball into my future house.

"In 2010 we completed Phase I of the Richard and Dion Neutra VDL Studio and Residences restoration project. This restoration was made possible by public donations and tours, a grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the pro-bono services of Marmol Radziner. Last year we also increased public events at the house including lectures, music recitals, a debate series, and our first in situ art installation by artist Santiago Borja. Help us make 2011 an even better year for Neutra VDL. We need your help to undertake Phase II of the restoration, which will include the main roof and penthouse reflecting pool. Your contributions will also support upcoming lectures and exhibits at the house."

you long-time readers might remember that I organized a little blogger meet-up and house tour back in June of '08. the VDL house was in danger of being auctioned off and Laure, Cassandra, and I discovered that the house was in desperate need of repair...but it looks like they're closer to reaching their goal!
