A decorative stones domino.

Decorate with stones is as simple as taking some stones from the beach or the mountains, and pile them on any site to create a decorative centerpiece, or a natural decorative element.

But decorating with stones, can also be a wonderful gesture making more elaborate decorative elements, combining natural creativity, and crafts.

stone craft to make a domino

What do you think of this very cool and decorative handmade domino stones and paint?

This manual, which I found in Martha Stewart, proposes to create a domino, as functional as decorative, natural stones.

This is one of those "do it yourself" is surprising for its originality and simplicity, when compared with the results of this highly decorative handmade domino of stones.

A mere stones, some river stones, beach stones or stones collected in the field, can be the raw material to make do ourselves this original and decorative domino stones.

After getting the stones to our craft domino, we only need common white paint and a fine brush.

Yes, finally to make this craft also going to need something to draw a pulse at a time, the typical dominoes on each of the stones.

A curtain of stars recycled beverage cans.

Recycle and decorating is a union that works so well that seem concepts created for each other.

Today I propose you an idea to recycle and decorate at the same time, in this case beverage cans.

how recycle cans to make a curtain

The very cool shade you see in the picture above, I've found in the forum DragTeam, is the result of simple recycle beverage cans or soft drinks.

Soda cans are a useful raw material for all those who like crafts and recycling. Recycling soda cans have been created from outstanding as ashtrays.

But this time, I think this work of recycling beverage cans, has surpassed all proposals and ideas that I have seen so far for recycling.

curtain craft recycle cans

The wonderful result of recycling soda cans to create this curtain of stars, does not correspond at all with the simple process of the craft.

Open cans and stretch to get the aluminum sheet, draw the stars on the tin, aluminum trim, practice a few folds on the can cut to give volume to the star, and make a small hole in the star cut to join the create the curtain parts and recycled with cans of drink. These are the only simple steps to make your own curtain of stars recycling soda cans.

What do you think this recycling craft?

Happy Birday Ke-che!

My little guy Christian, AKA "Ke-che" (how he pronounces it) is turning 2!! We're having a little family 4th of July party for his birthday and he is so excited. He is constantly talking about "baby's bir-day party," reciting the guest list and more importantly (hee hee) the menu: "Ice cream, beans (he loves beans) cheeseburgers, cake, pizza..." The funny part is he added in the pizza himself. We hadn't been planning on serving pizza but he brings it up every time so now I feel like maybe I should do one of those little personal ones for him. (Let's be honest, if there's time.)
Although it's a birthday party, since we're having it on the 4th, I figured we'd go red, white & blue with the decorations. Here's a little preview:

I thought you might enjoy seeing these adorable little plaster of paris flag holders my grandmother made for the table centerpieces. They're so easy to make & can be reused year after year. (Just put plaster of Paris inside disposable cups and make little holes up top for the flags to slip into once dry. When it's all dried, tear off the cup & add the flags!)

I hope everyone has a happy 4th of July!!!

xoxo,

lauren
